Edwin & Emma Ward – Wedding Day

This portrait is of my Great Grandmother & Great Grandfather, Emma and Edwin Ward on their wedding day. Initially they set up their lives in Greenbank, Ontario as Cotswold Sheep breeders. Soon thereafter Edwin took on the job managing a farm that bred Clydesdale horses. Some of my Grandad’s fondest memories were of the years he spent growing up on the farm. I love this image as it captures what I feel is the hope & delicate balance of the new life that is hoped for through marriage.
