The Siblings

I bought this beautiful sibling tintype just outside of Owen Sound. I decided not to clean up the scratches as they really are a part of this delicate portrait. The children are dressed in their finest clothing & my guess is that it dates from around 1890. The portrait was most certainly carried around & cherished. It amazes me that family lineage gets lost generationally in such a short period of time. Three generations departed and somewhere along the line this portrait ended up at an antique store for sale.
